Minnesota Secretary of State Mark Ritchie is the state’s chief election official and partners with township, city and county officials to organize elections on behalf of Minnesota’s nearly 4 million eligible voters. Mark oversees a wide range of services for Minnesota businesses, including the archiving of official and corporate documents, and administering Safe at Home, Minnesota’s address confidentiality program. He serves on the State Executive Council; State Board of Investment; Minnesota Historical Society Board; Twin Cities Army Community Advisory Board; and Minnesota National Guard Senior Advisory Council.
Ritchie is working with a broad coalition of civic leaders to bring the 2023 World’s Fair to the Twin Cities and is dedicated to ensuring that this major event is accessible and beneficial for all.
Fred began his advertising career by managing advertising for First Bank System. Pat Fallon recruited Fred to the agency side at Martin/Williams Advertising and then asked him to be one of the founding partners of Fallon in 1981. Since then, Fallon Worldwide has grown to become one of the world’s most critically acclaimed and creatively driven branding companies. He’s worked on clients including, BMW, Children’s Defense Fund, Timex, Cadillac, General Mills, Nestlé Purina, Travelers, TIME Magazine, and H&R Block. Fallon Worldwide is a member of the global network of Publicis Groupe, based in Paris. The company has offices in Minneapolis, London, and Tokyo. Fred’s many roles at the agency included Director of Account Services and later, Chief Learning Officer, running Fallon University and guest lecturing at the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management.
A native of Minnesota, Fred is very involved in local business and non-profit organizations. Fred has directed the successful advertising efforts of the Minnesota Business Partnership,
(a lobbying coalition of Minnesota companies) and the Minnesota Department of Tourism, as well as two gubernatorial campaigns. He is involved as an adviser or board member to several children’s organizations, and serves on the Governor’s Early Learning Council. He graduated from St. John’s University and recently served on their Board of Trustees. He also serves on the boards of two high tech start up enterprises.
