We're proud to kickoff 2010 with David Bell, as he discusses the ever-changing world of marketing communications, and the ways that companies are making their mark. How are companies adapting, staying nimble, and ultimately succeeding in today's environment? Mr. Bell will discuss this and more during Ad Fed's January luncheon program, "Winners in the New Landscape and Their Habits."
David Bell has more than 40 years of experience in the marketing communications sector. He was Chairman Emeritus of The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc., one of the world's largest marketing communications service companies, where he also served as Chairman and CEO. Bell previously held the positions of Chairman and CEO of True North Communications Inc., the world's sixth largest global advertising and marketing communications holding company. Bell was President and CEO of Bozell Worldwide, where he helped grow the agency from $12 million to more than $500 million in revenues. Prior to that, Bell was President of Knox Reeves Advertising, which was acquired by Bozell.
Throughout his career, Bell has served virtually every kind of industry, including: automotive, financial services, consumer packaged goods and business-to-business.
Bell has served the advertising industry as Chairman of: The Advertising Council, The American Advertising Federation, The Advertising Educational Foundation and The American Association of Advertising Agencies. He was inducted into the Advertising Hall of Fame by his peers in March 2007.
Bell is currently an independent Director of Warnaco, Primedia Inc., and Lighting Science Group Corporation (LSCG). For 4 1/2 years, Mr. Bell was a Senior Advisor with Google, a position that he now holds at AOL.
