Is your agency or career struggling during the current economic challenges? Do you need new hiring tactics? Want to learn how to “recession-proof” your career and your agency? If so, this is a breakfast meeting you cannot afford to miss!
The Advertising Federation of Minnesota will present “How Are Minneapolis Agencies Moving Forward Through Challenging Times?” on Friday, October 17, at the Grand Hotel.
Three veterans of the agency world (Nicole Nye, director of account management at OLSON; Rich Butwinick, president and founder of MarketingLab; and Lynne Robertson, president of FAME, a Retail Brand Agency) will share their experiences and expertise and tell you how agencies of all sizes in the Minneapolis area are operating and turning profits during these difficult economic times. Stephanie Hansen, co-host of “The Stephanie and Meredith Show” on WFMP FM 107.1, will moderate the panel discussion.
Registration and networking begin at 8:00 a.m., followed by a delicious breakfast, panel presentation and a question and answer session from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. There will be an opportunity for more networking after 9:30 a.m.
This event is cordially sponsored by MarketingLab (www.mymarketinglab.com).
The Speakers:
Stephanie Hansen is the co-host of “The Stephanie and Meredith Show” on WFMP FM 107.1 from 1:00-3:00pm. Stephanie’s show is lifestyle driven focusing on relationships, books, pop culture, sex and food (as talk show hosts are likely to do).
Hansen started her own business, www.Printz.com, in March of 2006. Printz specializes in fast and affordable 4-color printing of business cards, posters, letterhead, rack cards, booklets, newsletters and brochures and offers 24-hour direct mail service for postcards. In addition, Hansen is a partner in www.Postcardbuilder.com. PostcardBuilder creates, prints and mails full color postcards and direct mail pieces within 48 hours.
Prior to starting Printz, Hansen was the director of sales and marketing at City Pages for seven years. Under her leadership, City Pages launched two profitable Web sites, various specialty publications and became one of the most profitable newspapers in the chain. Hansen has also worked at KSTP-FM, K102 and KFAN radio. Hansen is past president of the Advertising Federation of Minnesota, which consisted of over 650 members from the advertising and marketing professional community. She is also a member of WIN, Women In Networking.
Lynne Robertson’s broad marketing experience serves her well in leading the many facets of FAME, a Retail Brand Agency. Robertson joined FAME in 2003, capping a 20-year marketing career built on the rigors of retail promotion and the discipline of brand development.
Robertson has orchestrated national consumer and trade promotions for many blue chip marketers and has been a steward for some of America’s most beloved brands. She has built award-winning, account-specific programs for retailers in all channels of trade – from mass to class, including Kmart, Kroger, Albertson’s and Musicland.
Prior to joining FAME, Robertson was vice president and management supervisor at Campbell Mithun – a billion dollar agency in Minneapolis – part of the McCann-Erickson network of Interpublic Group. For more than 10 years, she honed her full contact marketing abilities for clients both here and abroad, launching new products and championing existing ones. Robertson has exceptional expertise in marketing to kids and served as director of KidCom, one of the top three youth marketing agencies in the world.
Rich Butwinick, president and founder of MarketingLab, has more than 25 years of experience in sales, marketing and promotions.
MarketingLab develops and executes promotional marketing campaigns that engage consumers, activate brands and increase sales by building commanding relationships between brands and shoppers.
