Calling all multimedia designers, developers and enthusiasts! Come and get a glimpse into future technologies, and find new energy and inspiration for your work at the fifth annual Flashbelt conference. Produced by the Minneapolis-based company Pilotvibe, Flashbelt 2008 will be getting its geek on at the Holiday Inn Metrodome from June 8-11. The conference offers one day of workshops and three days of presentations led by rock-star designers, whiz-kid developers and best-selling authors. Attendees will learn the latest in new media tools and technologies, productivity and workflow tips, trends, and behind-the-scenes insight into some of the most exciting work being produced today.

Flashbelt started out five years ago as a one-day event to draw the local community of multimedia developers together. It has since become a nationwide draw, with roughly 40 percent of attendees arriving from out-of-state. Flashbelt not only brings potential employees to Minneapolis, but it also displays the work of local agencies to a wide range of clients.

This event has a laid back, social atmosphere that encourages the exchange of ideas, and the creation of new partnerships and alliances. The atmosphere extends into the evening with end-of-the-day cocktail receptions. Registration is available online only at www.flashbelt.com. Student discount rates and office registration packages are available. Flashbelt 2008 is limited to 400 seats, and registration closes June 6.
