Communications
The Communications Committee assures that, as experts in advertising and marketing communications, we are practicing what we preach. To establish a position as the leading marketing communications professional organization, we need to employ the best practices in everything from brand identity management to direct marketing and measurement.
Diversity
All of Ad Fed's social events, educational opportunities and public service efforts-not to mention the most sought-after awards and the best parties in town-are made possible by the efforts of Ad Fed committees. People who volunteer their time on committees make Ad Fed events both possible and successful. Take a gander at our list of committees-it's quite impressive, if we do say so ourselves.
Membership
It’s all about the members. That’s why the Membership Committee constantly analyzes and promotes the benefits of Ad Fed membership to all individuals in the advertising industry. If you want to practice your sales skills on a wide range of the ad community, including the industry leaders, this is the committee for you. It’s a great way to get your face out there in front of our 400+ members.
Mentorship
The objective of this committee is to constantly promote the benefits of membership in Ad Fed to all individuals involved in or interested in the advertising industry. Committee members act as greeters at events, make calls to new and prospective members and promote membership. Members meet monthly to discuss new initiatives. We are looking for connected individuals who are outgoing and will help us build a strong membership base for Ad Fed through networking, personal contact and promotional strategies.
Programs - Luncheons
Programs. Another one of Ad Fed’s fantastic “p” words. This committee creates meaningful and entertaining programs that address the diverse needs of Ad Fed members. Committee members are needed to plan the programs, develop promotional materials, secure typesetting and printing services, handle event publicity and assist with registration.

Public Service
Through the Public Service Committee's efforts, Ad Fed is able to create, produce and execute integrated marketing communications campaigns for worthwhile non-profit organizations. The work produced by the committee has achieved critical acclaim and has received three 2nd place Club Achievement Awards and two 1st place awards given by the American Advertising Federation. Not too shabby.
Sponsorship
The Sponsorship Committee plans and implements sponsor awareness and visibility at events and for Ad Fed as a whole. This committee contacts heads of agencies and coordinates successful partnerships between the sponsor company and Ad Fed. Committee members are needed to donate time and talent to create and produce sponsorship campaigns that garner results.
Awards
Winner, winner, winner. The Awards Committee's task is to select the recipients of Ad Fed's two annual awards: Silver Medal and Paul Foss. The Awards Committee plans an event for each recipient to honor and embarrass them. Committee members are needed to plan the events, develop promotional materials, handle event publicity and assist with registration.
Student Advertising Summit
Introduce the advertising community to students without scaring them off. This is the sometimes daunting task of the SAS committee. Committee members are needed to guide our student "agency" as the students plan the event, develop the creative, PR & Marketing, invite speakers, and act as hosts on the day of the event.
Golferoo
Shhh, quiet please! Committee members need to concentrate while planning this big golf event. They solicit sponsorships and donations, develop promotional materials, handle event publicity and assist with registration. Join a leaderboard of great names and help us make the Golferoo a smashing success.
Magazine Day
This annual half-day event promotes the magazine industry. The day begins with a presentation by the Magazine Publishers Association, followed by an all-you-can-read magazine display, and concludes after a luncheon keynote by a noted magazine professional. Past presenters include Christine Heffner, Playboy Enterprises and Howard Fineman, Newsweek. Committee members are needed to plan the event, solicit magazine sponsors, secure typesetting and printing services, and assist with registration.
Media Auction
This committee coordinates Ad Fed’s largest fundraising activity. Committee members procure donations of media and related advertising items, select an event site, produce an auction booklet, develop an invitation list, and work to insure that prospective buyers attend the event. It is a great way to meet the movers and shakers in the Media buying industry while networking and having fun with your peers in the business. Committee members on this event donate approximately 10 hours of their time and attend 2-3 happy hour planning sessions.
The Show
The big kahuna. An awards show so big, they simply call it, “The Show.” The committee consists of Ad Fed members and representatives of the advertising community and selects judges, coordinates judging and supervises production of the event that salutes our market’s most creative ads and their creators.
